Ideal Concepts, Inc. an Inc. 5000 company and a Fastest Growing Company in the Lehigh Valley. We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join our team and contribute to the day-to-day functions of our Human Resources Department. 

The HR Generalist will perform functions in support of the HR Department on employment related matters and may support various projects including benefits, onboarding, employee relations, HR reporting and HR process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Administers employee compensation, training, leave programs and benefit programs
  • Guides managers in employment-related practices, such as administration of ADA accommodations, corrective action, career development and cross-training programs
  • Acts as liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations
  • Addresses employment-related questions/concerns from applicants, employees, and managers, referring complex matters to the appropriate leader
  • Understands HR best practices and current regulations in a multi-state organization and offers feedback to develop or improve policies, practices, and procedures
  • Assists with annual reporting and year-end items

  • Proven ability to perform with a high level of integrity, confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion
  • Well organized, high attention to detail, flexible and adaptable with the ability to be assigned to multiple projects while balancing conflicting priorities and challenging deadlines
  • Prior experience facilitating a positive exchange of information with payroll / finance preferred
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
  • Proficient in verbal and written business communications, ability to speak clearly with and have positive interpersonal interactions with all levels of employees and management
  • Manual dexterity required to use laptop and peripherals
  • Ability to sit for 6 or more hours per day, up to 2 hours per day of intermittent standing/walking

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in HR administration, generalist, or similar role in a multi-state organization is preferred
  • Relevant professional certification preferred: SHRM-CP or PHR
  • Prior applicable work experiences in multiple HR areas preferred: benefits administration, policy administration, onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, leave administration (ADA/FMLA/state leave laws), talent development/training; multi-state employment law administration strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with MS office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Teams/Outlook) and HRIS (UKG a plus)

This is normally an on-site position, located in Allentown, PA. In light of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we have made temporary arrangements for our staff to be able to work remotely. We will soon return to our offices, at which time, remote work will not be an option for this position.
