We are looking for a motivated individual with an accounting background to join our commissions accounting team. 

Our Commission Accounting Specialist manages commission statements and payments for our 2,500 sales agents. Duties include processing and tracking commissions, researching missing payments, and supporting agents for all their commissions needs. The Commission Accounting Specialist is a crucial member of our team, particularly as we work to expand our agent base and build relationships with new Carriers. Since our agents depend on their commissions for income, it is important that they have confidence in our Commissions Department as the company continues to grow. In this demanding and fast-paced position, it is necessary to work independently and be self-motivated. We are looking for someone who is sharp, highly efficient, and learns quickly.

Responsibilities:

  • Process commission statements from 50+ insurance carriers
  • Meet weekly and monthly deadlines to complete payments to Agents
  • Investigate and report missing commissions
  • Primary contact for Agents regarding commission statements and payments

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in accounting or bookkeeping
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (i.e. formulas, pivot tables)
  • Excellent attention to detail is a must
  • Good problem solver and troubleshooter
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Communicate effectively in a positive and professional manner
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Self-motivated and efficient
  • Able to work in a demanding and faced-paced environment
  • Experience in processing commissions and/or sales incentives preferred
